Sorry for the late notice, but I just discovered these cool salsa classes in San Francisco offered by Evan Margolin of Salsa Crazy, and I wanted to let everyone in this Meetup group know about them.
Evan is a really great teacher and shows you step-by-step how to master salsa dancing, even if you have two left feet.
There are Four week progressive salsa classes, with no partner and no experience necessary!
Classes are starting this week on Wed March 4, 2009.

Large, fun, social and step-by-step salsa dance classes.
Cost: just $50 for 4 weeks.
NOTE: These are not classes for singles only, but you are likely to meet a lot of singles there.

For those who haven't checked it out, the site also lists the downtown Oakland classes held at Lake Merritt Dance Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays evenings through April. Levels: Beginning and Intermediate.
