This is not a video of one of our wine hikes, but it's an entertaining video and I thought you would like to see it. I think it qualifies as the world's scariest footpath! If you would like to go on a hike that is fun, but not quiet so scary, check out one of Tom Bolds Wine hikes. We feature them from time to time on this website.

Wow. This is scary. Some say people have died on this pathway, while others claim this is not so.
This hike takes places at El Caminito del Rey (The King's walkway). The name is sometimes shortened to Camino del Rey. Music is by Michael Darius's Magic Of Politics

It's reported on WikiPedia that this walkway was built in 1901 when workers at the hydroelectric power plants at Chorro Falls and Gaitanejo Falls needed a walkway to cross between the falls, for transport of materials and inspection and maintenance of the channel. It was finished in finished in 1905.
In 1921 King Alfonso XIII crossed the walkway for the inauguration of the dam Conde del Guadalhorce and it became known by its present name.

Here's a Google Map.
